By age 18 Lindy had turned her love of jewelry into a job working as a bench jeweler for a shop in her hometown of Fernandina Beach. After three years of hands-on experience in jewelry making and repair she moved to nearby Jacksonville and worked for a jeweler specializing in fine jewelry. After college at UNF, Lindy enrolled in the Gemological Institute of America and earned her Graduate Gemologist degree at the New York City campus. With education and experience in place, she landed a job on Fifth Avenue for one of the leading jewelry stores in the world. Four years in New York City was great, but it was time to put all of her time and energy into her dream. With lots of help from family and friends, Lindy's was opened on September 12, 2001.
