Scott Witherspoon, new owner of the Asbury Park Discovery Map franchise, is a Pittsburgh native and local resident of Highlands, NJ, originally moving there in 1981 after graduating from the University of Pittsburgh.  Scott relocated back to Highlands in 2017 and was attracted back to the shore after helping with cleanup efforts in Sea Bright following Hurricane Sandy in 2012.   Scott spent most of his career in financial services working with small and large businesses in the banking industry and Wall Street over the past 38 years.   Scott was attracted to the Discovery Map opportunity previously seeing the bright and colorful maps on his many travels throughout New England, including Vermont where Discovery Maps is headquartered.  Scott also enjoys golf, travel and is a consummate “foodie”.

Scott sees the Discovery Map opportunity as a way of assisting both tourists and locals coming to the Jersey shore supporting local businesses in Asbury Park, Ocean Grove, Bradley Beach, Avon-By-The-Sea, Allenhurst and Neptune, all the while running a business that is meant to be fun and helpful.  Scott looks forward to getting to know all the small business owners at the Jersey shore.
