Nature's Oasis has been owned and lovingly nurtured since 1993 by Sherri and Jeff Watson who met while attending Fort Lewis College. When they first bought their original small store, they had a dream to expand and become the area’s place for natural and organic groceries. Now, having opened their doors at 300 S. Camino del Rio in the fall of 2008, they are truly “Durango’s Great Natural Market”.

From our full line grocery selection to our fresh bakery and organic produce, from our beautiful deli featuring hot entrees, sandwiches, soups, and salads to our coffee and juice bar, from our organic produce to our local meat market, from our large vitamin center to beauty products, and from our bulk foods to our online educational resources, Nature’s Oasis believes in high quality products, buying locally, and giving back to our communities.

We carry as many local items as possible, and share our home with local businesses: Sunnyside Farms Market, Serious Delights Bakery, and River Liquors. We are committed to working with local contractors, suppliers, businesses, and providing customer service excellence training and more.

As part of the Durango community, we donate to many local charities and organizations in southwest Colorado—in 2002 Nature‘s Oasis was named "Business of the Year" by the Durango Chamber of Commerce, largely in recognition of the many ways that Nature‘s Oasis gives back to the community.

We strive to have wonderful personnel and offer excellence in customer service! As a business we know that our future is based on how well we relate to and help our customers, therefore when you visit our store, we want you to feel comfortable when asking questions, or seeking solutions to your health concerns, and simply enjoy your time with us.

Our interest in health education is one of the reasons for developing our informative website; we want to provide you with the most up-to-date information available. Please visit our website often and use it to help you find the answers to most of your healthcare questions or please come in and visit us anytime!

Our environmental stewardship is something we consider in everything we do. We were the first business in Durango to purchase 100% Green Power thru LPEA, our new building is extremely energy efficient and meets LEED’s standards, we diligently recycle, and generously support local environmental groups.

Thank you to everyone for continuing to support all locally owned businesses in Durango!
