About Yoga on the Beach - Wellfleet
What kind of yoga classes will they be?
I teach Kripalu Yoga, which is a specific style of Hatha yoga that employs a compassionate approach with an emphasis on meditation, physical healing and spiritual transformation. My classes begin with breathing exercises and gentle stretches, followed by a series of poses. We will end with a brief relaxation and meditation session.
Kripalu Yoga is intended as a holistic practice and uses the life-force energy called Prana to heal, rejuvenate and allow students to discover their own spiritual path.
For more information or questions/concerns about poses: (781) 789-8725.
What materials do I need?
Beach: Bring a towel! (There is ample free parking and a bike rack).
Prez Hall: Mats are available to borrow for free!
Many students ask me for the affirmation that I read at the end of each class, so I've posted it here:
I am infinite, eternal, and whole.
I embrace the fullness of life.
I let go of my attachments
And I appreciate everything that I have.
More about me:
I received my original teacher training at Kripalu Center for Yoga and meditation in Lenox, MA. I have earned advanced training certifications from around the globe, logging more than 500 hours (and counting!), including special interest training in the Bhagavad Gita, meditation, and fascia/anatomy studies.
I have been teaching yoga in Wellfleet since 2013, both at Wellfleet Preservation Hall and at Quiet Mind Studio. Additionally, every year since 2014, I have obtained special permission from the Wellfleet Board of Selectmen to teach yoga on Mayo Beach, which is located across from the Town Recreation Department.
You can also treat yourself to private, semi-private, or group yoga classes with me; investment in your health, your happiness, and your spirit!
