·       Step onto President Dwight and First Lady Mamie Eisenhower’s weekend retreat and retirement property at the Eisenhower National Historic Site. With its original furnishings and décor, the home offers an intimate perspective of home life for the Eisenhowers in the 1950s. A tour of the property includes the charming home, putting green, bountiful garden, tea house, cattle barns and skeet range. Home tours free of charge when available. Group tour reservations required.

·       Discover the George Spangler Farm & Field Hospital. Walk the grounds, hear the stories and feel the emotions of life–and death–at this historic farm suddenly transformed into a field hospital during the 1863 battle. The historic site with living history is available for ticket holders to the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center during the summer season, Friday through Sunday. Timed shuttles depart the Museum & Visitor Center. Open on select dates for special events throughout the year.

·       Explore Children of Gettysburg 1863®, located at 451 Baltimore Street in downtown Gettysburg. The interactive adventure for young historians is Gettysburg’s most family-friendly children’s history museum. Experience the stories of Gettysburg through the words and experiences of children and teens who lived here during and after the 1863 battle. Engaging first-hand accounts and interactive exhibits bring the stories to life as you journey through unique galleries.

·       Get your ticket for Ticket to the Past – Unforgettable Journeys, Gettysburg’s first virtual reality experience in the historic Gettysburg Lincoln Railroad Station™. Located at 35 Carlisle Street in downtown Gettysburg, the station, where U.S. history was made, is now home to a new virtual reality experience that immerses you in history and introduces you to historic figures, bringing to life their important stories associated with the Battle of Gettysburg. Witness their unforgettable journeys.

·       Tour the David Wills House, a National Park Service museum, located at 8 Lincoln Square in downtown Gettysburg. The home where President Lincoln stayed prior to delivering his Gettysburg Address, the David Wills House features a seven-gallery interactive museum relating the story of Wills, Lincoln’s visit and the Gettysburg Address. Free and open to the public.

·       Visit the Gettysburg National Cemetery. Walk the hallowed grounds and take a moment to reflect on those who gave “the last full measure of devotion.” President Lincoln delivered his immortal Gettysburg Address in dedicating the cemetery as the final resting place for more than 3,500 Union soldiers. Walk the path from the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center or take the short drive to the cemetery parking lot on Taneytown Road to visit this important piece of our American history.
