The Bunker Military Surplus and Collectibles - is Moore County's only veteran own military surplus store located at 119 N Sycamore Street in  Aberdeen's historic district. There you'll find the owner and retired Army Soldier, Tom Flores, selling new and used military surplus as well as a nice selection of collectible antique militaria dating from WW1 thru the Vietnam War. Do not underestimate the capacity of this little shop.  The Bunker's shelves stand 8-feet tall on all four walls and are neatly packed with "a little bit of everything". In stock items include new or pre-owned field gear (i.e. ammo pouches, medical and first aid pouches, butt packs, pistol belts, load bearing equipment (ie. LBV, LCE, and FLCs), canteens, e-tools, shelter halves and tents, rucksacks and packs, camouflage uniforms, helmets, boonies, hats, berets, leather and desert boots, badge and patch insignia, inert ordnance, bayonets, maps and documents, wooden ammunition crates, footlockers, ammo cans, cold and wet weather jackets, and much more. Over the years, The Bunker has helped many people build their favorite COSPLAY costumes, LARP outfits, reenacting, airsoft, paintball, and war-gaming impressions, kits, veteran uniforms, and displays. The Bunker is the place to go to learn too. Tom is happy to assist customers by offering free appraisals and can help to identify those old pieces of military clothing and equipment that have been locked away in your attic. He can even assist in identifying awards and insignia listed on the WW2 War Department form 55 or the more modern Department of Defense form 214 discharge records and cross reference the information with regulations and historical documents indicating unit awards. He provides impressive military displays for such events as military reunions, association meetings, and Veteran's Day events. Late last year, The Bunker opened an outpost in the West End Antiques mall where vintage and foreign collectible militaria can be found in Booth 44. Buy online, The Bunk sells collectible militaria through eBay under the username, "thebunker_in_aberdeen_nc". Selling locally, at trade shows, and through the internet results in our inventory constantly turning over which leads to bringing in new and different items.

The Bunker has successfully completed over two and a half years of business in the Sandhills and continues to do more than just sell military surplus. If you've driven by our shop and the doors were closed things were not idle as the owner of The Bunker supports many in our community. For years, he has searched out, acquired, and supplied R. Riveter with original military material for their handbags, he supports the Army by participating in the Special Forces Robin Sage exercise as an independent contractor with Oak Grove. Tom has provided historical military displays for the Rockingham Hospice and Aberdeen Veterans Day events, and for the past three seasons has successfully volunteered to coach the West Pine Middle School Boys and Girls Cross Country teams.
