Jessie & Gabe Nelson

Jessie and Gabe Nelson are North Shore residents, parents of two wild boys, and community-minded entrepreneurs working to elevate local businesses and enrich visitor experiences.

Gabe arrived on O’ahu in 2011 with the Coast Guard, and Jessie arrived in 2014 for massage therapy school. Hawaii soon became their permanent home. They have managed local farmers’ markets, built strong relationships within the small business community, and explored every corner of the island. O’ahu is where they chose to build their home and raise their family.

Their connection to Oahu isn’t just professional; it’s personal. Supporting the small, locally owned businesses that give the island its character feels natural to them because they genuinely love the community they’re a part of.

Their mission for the O’ahu Discovery Map is simple: to provide real exposure, at scale, to interesting local businesses by putting the map in the hands, rental cars, and hotels of visitors. To enrich visitor experiences by offering them a curated menu of the best that O’ahu has to offer on a colorful, hand-drawn map.

Jessie and Gabe spend much of their free time exploring O’ahu’s beaches and hiking trails with their 2 boys. Gabe likes to surf, Jessie likes shelling, supporting local farmers’ markets, and discovering hidden neighborhood gems.
