Old Orchard Beach Pier
The Old Orchard Beach Pier, located at the center of town, has been a long-standing historic landmark since 1898. It has gone through several remodels over the years. The current structure has been in place since 1980.
The Pier is home to several restaurants and bars, shops, and entertainment. These venues host several special events throughout the year. The summer season starts off in May with the annual Chowderfest, an opportunity to vote for the best chowder in the state. Also in May is the annual Beerfest on The Pier. This is a great way to sample beer from over 30 microbreweries and to listen to live music. If you’re looking for a delicious Maine lobster, then The Pier Lobster Bake, with steamed clams and corn on the cob, may be just right for you. The Lobster Bake takes place every Thursday, all summer long. Also, weather permitting, there are fireworks at The Pier every Thursday night throughout the summer months. Then, to finish off the summer season, the annual Bikefest and annual Chilifest take place in September. The Chilifest hosts restaurants from all over the state of Maine. Cast your vote for the best chili!
The Old Orchard Beach Pier is the place to be for food and entertainment!
