With over 300 days of sunshine each year, Albuquerque is an outstanding place to visit if you love the outdoors! The city has numerous hiking and biking trails along the Rio Grande River and in the Sandia Mountains and Sandia Foothills and over a dozen golf courses. The Sandia Peak Ski Area is easily accessed for year-round outdoor activity – biking in the Summer and skiing or snowboarding in the Winter. Other outdoor attractions include Petroglyph National Monument, hot air balloon rides, and the ABQ BioPark Zoo, Botanic Garden and Tingley Beach.
