Chronic Sailing is the passion and brainchild of Annapolis’ own Captain Shawn Owen. Many Annapolitans know Owen from his extensive career as a performing musician around Annapolis and throughout the east coast of the United States and the Bahamian & Caribbean Islands but many are starting to recognize him "making waves" in the local and regional sailing community. Beginning his teaching career as an ASA sailing instructor under the legendary Tom Tursi at the Maryland School for Sailing & Seamanship, Owen also teaches at The Annapolis School of Seamanship as a Safe Boating instructor with Boat U.S. and the USCG 6-Pack OUPV & Master Captain License courses. His mission now is to provide Annapolis and the surrounding Chesapeake Bay area with a boutique-esque charter and learning experience, focused on customization and quality service.
