The Hop Ice Cream Cafe has been proudly serving Asheville, NC since 1978 with an imaginative yet classy array of homemade 16% butterfat Dairy Ice Cream, completely from-scratch Vegan Ice Cream and Sorbet, fair-trade/organic Coffee and Espresso, unique specialty desserts and more. In addition The Hop(s) host a variety of Birthday Parties, weekly Free Family Friendly Entertainment, and whimsical special events at each of its three Asheville locations. Ashley and Greg Garrison, owners and joy makers, began working at The Hop in 2003 as UNC Asheville students, then took the reins in 2008, and have since happily worked to create a genuinely positive community-minded business around delicous hand-crafted Ice Cream. Voted to the Mountain Xpress Best of WNC Hall of Fame for Best Asheville Ice Cream and 2nd Best for Birthday Parties.
