"The genesis of Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours can be traced back to the summer of 1981.  I first witnessed the whitewater spectacle of the Niagara River gorge as a part of a whitewater kayaking expedition to Northern Ontario.  I can recall standing beside the towering waves in astonishment, wondering if I would ever have the opportunity to experience the rapids commonly referred to as the "Mount Everest" of whitewater rapids. In 1992 we began commercial operations, and now we have more guests in a single day than we had in the entire first season.  Our fleet has 8 custom-built vessels, we run from 3 operating locations, and employ a staff of over 130!"
